Nearly $22,000 in NH first time home buyer incentives and grants available:
$347,500 is the single family home purchase price limit of New Hampshire Housing and Financing Authority loans in Manchester New Hampshire, $48,000 higher than in other towns of Hillsborough County with the exception of Goffstown NH. The NHHFA maximum purchase price for 2-unit duplexes is $417,000 while for 3-4 unit Manchester NH multi family properties the purchase price limit is $464,000.
Accordingly, the qualifying home buyer income limits have been expanded to $93,100 for a household of 1-2 and $108,600 for a family of 3 and over.
While the federal first time home buyer tax credit of $8,000 in 2009 is available to home buyers only if they didn’t own a home in the past 3 years, all home buyers qualify for NHHFA loans since Manchester and Goffstown belong to the 15 targeted communities in New Hampshire.
