78 single family homes for sale in Manchester New Hampshire had a price adjustment in March 2009. This represents 27% of the 288 real estate listings, nearly one in three properties on the market had a price reduction.
A few of the new construction home prices were adjusted upward to reflect increased labor and material costs. Builders are also becoming more optimistic due to recent inventory reduction in the Manchester NH real estate market; the number of single family homes for sale has seen a 22% drop compared to March 2008.
It is also expected that in the lower prices range of homes for sale the $8,600 tax credit for first time home buyers will spur further demand.
